Zermatt is a lovely alpine town that lies at the foot of Matterhorn, one of the highest peaks in the Alps.

The town is traffic free and offers scenic views of the mountains. Along the main street are nice bars and restaurants where one can enjoy a typical Swiss dish, like the fondue bourghignonne, raclette or bratwurst and rosti... Only a few steps away from the village centre you will find yourselves immersed in an untouched mountain landscape and atmosphere.

Some nice optional trips are available: funiculars, trains, cable cars to get to higher points in the mountains. The town of Zermatt can only be reached by shuttle train from Tasch where all cars and buses have to stop. The train transport is very easy and runs every 20 minutes. Once in Zermatt you will have the time to enjoy a train or cable car trip (Gornergrat train, Matterhorn Gondola...)

• This is a full-day excursion

• The scenic drive includes a stop halfway on top of the Simplon pass

• You will be picked up at your hotel / town and transferred in a private vehicle to Tasch. In Tasch a shuttle train takes passengers as far as Zermatt centre (15 minutes' journey). Free time for your visit and return to Tasch by shuttle train where the driver will be waiting for you to accompany back to your hotel

• The driver will be able to give you all the useful information
